Another weekend is just around the corner. If you could invite any ten Internet "celebrities" over for dinner who would you invite and why? Here's my list:
1. Leo Laporte - He's got wacky stories. He likes Macs. Everybody likes Leo.
2. Andy Ihnatko - He's the guy I'd put in charge of Fake Apple if Fake Steve didn't want to run it anymore. He always makes me laugh and he thinks up fun stuff to do with cell phones.
3. Fake Steve Jobs - I'd invite Daniel Lyons as his alter ego. I'd bring in special food so I didn't harsh his zen. I just love it when he tells the Fake Al Gore stories.
4 & 5. Cali Lewis & Neil - Who doesn't like "shiny, happy tech news". I'd invite them just for their sunny dispositions.
6. John Dvorak - I've been a big fan of Dvorak's hot sports opinions and pseudo-grouch routine since floppy disks were, well, floppy.
7. Rodfather - I want to see the karioke act and he can sketch us on his Q1.
8. & 9. JK on the Run - I'd want my wife to know who James is since I blame all my tech purchases on him. I figure Kevin needs to come also. It takes two people to haul their gadget bag and they are both fun.
10. Guy Kawasaki - I figure he could really keep us going with those Truemors and I'm fascinated by the whole Apple thing.
So that's my impromptu list. I'm sure there's lots of great choices that I missed. So what about you, Rodfather?
"Taxman" is the name of a great Beatles song and it goes with my career as a CPA. I'm also a musician (if a guitar player can claim to be a musician). I love computers, especially Macs and Tablet PCs and all things gadgets.
