"Taxman" is the name of a great Beatles song and it goes with my career as a CPA. I'm also a musician (if a guitar player can claim to be a musician). I love computers, especially Macs and Tablet PCs and all things gadgets.

Amazon MP3: Sells Me Music The Way I Want it!
I am so excited about the new Amazon MP3 music store because of what it means for owners of mobile devices. Now, if you have a Windows Mobile device you can go to their website and purchase DRM-Free MP3 songs from major artists. The kicker is that I was able to fire up Opera on my HTC Advantage and buy the song from my device over AT&T's network and download an 89 cent song directly to the microdrive on my device. I just needed to say no when asked to download the Amazon MP3 downloader. Then, I was able to start up my media player, in this case TCPMP, and play the tune I just downloaded. No syncing with a computer required. This is a big item on my list. I hope that iTunes and the other music vendors are paying attention to this. This is huge!!!! I'm thinking sliced bread, saran wrap, scotch tape, huge!!!

Sweet. Can you redownload tracks like you can purchased Unbox movies through "YourMediaLibrary"?
That's what's great with Amazon. I think I can download a movie up to 2 times.
If there's a way to do it, I can't figure out how. When I go to view my media library it shows that I've already purchased the song, but if I try to download it again, it seems to want me to pay.
The Amazon mp3 FAQ states "purchases can only be downloaded once" and recommends that you make backups.
I think this is quite foolish. But, note that this is just legalize. If you are resourceful you can in fact re-download the files as well as complete albums at any time.
i tried dl'ing with PIE on a wm5 device and it is a no go. anyone get this to work using PIE?
I wrote amazon cs and we'll see what they have 2 say
pj,
I'm downloading a song right now on my HTC Advantage using PIE. This is a WM6 device and I'm not sure what the difference is. I do have the Flash Player 7 installed, but I don't know if that is relevant. I also had my account on Amazon setup from my Mac so I didn't have to try to do all that from WM. Maybe with some tweaking it would work for you?
