Are Blue States Better Educated than Red States?

I don't usually get involved in political discussions - a policy I plan to continue following in the future.  A blog post that I read promoting the Democrat candidate for President alleges that people in the "fly-over states" are uneducated and therefore resentful and somehow incapable of appreciating the political views of vastly more educated opponents.  Based on what I could find on Internet, there may be some merit to the argument that the blue states have a higher percentage of college graduates than the red states. But not significantly so.  I think it would be inaccurate to say that conservative political views stem from a lack of education.
