Ukuleles are Fun!

A couple of weeks ago, my wife informed me that my Father's Day gift was going to be a ukulele and that I needed to help her figure out what to get.  We did some online shopping but along the way discovered an awesome store in Dallas that sells ukuleles -- The Uke Lady Store.

They made the shopping experience so much fun.  Clearly, they have a passion for ukuleles and this got me excited about my gift.  I've had so much fun with my uke since I got it.  One thing you have to do if you live in Dallas and have a uke is discover the Dallas Ukulele Headquarters (DUH!) - a resource for knowledge and meeting up with fellow ukulele enthusiasts.  As they say in DUH, "without U it's just a kulele".

There's lots of great ukulele websites where you can find Ukulele tabs and lessons.  Plus, there's a trove of ukulele material on Youtube. I'm just learning the uke but here's a little recording I made last night:

There's no time like summer to discover the ukulele!
