Taking the GarageBand Project to the next level, I wrote a song! We need songs for old people, not just for kids. I wrote about what I know. No, not taxes! (But stay tuned, I've got some ideas). I recorded this song, on my 11.6" MacBook Air with a Samson G-Track Condensor Mic and GarageBand amps for my bass and guitar tracks. If you like the song, download it or send the link to a friend. It's been awhile since I revisited my GarageBand Project. I moved the file over to my new MacBook Air 11.6" and GarageBand 2011. I replaced the last MIDI track (other than drums) with a lead guitar track that I recorded using my IK Multimedia iRig hardware with my MacBook Air using the amp emulator and stompboxes built in GarageBand. I'm no Lennon and McCartney, but I think the tune is shaping up. Your thoughts? You Can't Do That (Version 3) by Taxman45

You Can't Do That - Take 2 by Taxman45

I'm still working on getting better at GarageBand, and I'm back with another version of the Beatles' "You Can't Do That." For this track, I've replaced the MIDI rhythm guitar track that I sequenced with a real track played by me on Acoustic guitar.

I also recently purchased a used Hofner Icon Series Bass (aka the "Beatle Bass") which is a Chinese made version of the Hofner bass made famous by Paul McCartney. I'm new to the bass so this track isn't as polished as I'd like. I'll replace it after I practice more. I also plan to replace the MIDI lead guitar soon. I've been working on the mix too.
