Mac Mini Makeover

At lunch, and with way too little care about what I was doing, I performed surgery on my Intel Mac Mini. When I bought this baby bad boy, it came with 2x256 MB RAM chips and I swapped one of them for 1GB RAM, so I was sporting 1.25GB total. Well that worked okay when I was only running OSX but I've been using this little dude in my office with Parallels to run Windows XP too. That was SLOOOOOOOW. Well, a couple of months ago, I took the plunge and bought a 2GB RAM chip for my Samsung Q1 and that left me with leftover RAM of the 1GB variety. Lo and behold, it was the SAME RAM that my Mini uses. Blessing the gadget gods, I knew it was only a matter of time before I cracked the case and had my way with it. Today was the big day. I really did have to use a putty knife to get the case off and I was scared as hell doing it! Fortunately, all is well and the mini is a relative screamer to what he was before. Rock on! I couldn't a done it without the fine people at applefritter.com. Here's a link to the take-apart guide.
